The number you see, and the number you pay
The price of surgery abroad is quoted alone. What isn't quoted: two tickets, seven to ten nights' stay, a companion, time off work, then a second trip for follow-up a month later — or no follow-up at all. Add these up before comparing.
The same device
Penile implants are made by a handful of manufacturers worldwide, and the device used in Saudi Arabia is the same used in Jordan, Egypt and Europe. Any price difference is not in the device.
A cost that never appears on the invoice
Complications are rare but they happen. If one happens after you return, who treats it? Usually a surgeon in your city who did not do the operation — at the cost of removing the implant, treating the infection, then a new implant. That is the cost paid twice.
Privacy is not distance
Many travel because “nobody knows me there”. Real privacy is one coordinator, an evening slot and a doctor who never jokes about it — available in your own city.
A simple rule
Before you travel, get a second opinion from an andrology consultant in your city: the same examination, the same explanation, then decide. A second opinion commits you to nothing.
Common questions
Is the famous surgeon better?
Fame is measured in posts. What you need: a stated infection rate, follow-up on day two and year one, and someone to repair a complication.
